1. About This Service
UrFaith ("we", "us", "our", "the Platform") is an online devotional platform that uses artificial intelligence to generate daily scripture-based devotional readings and related content. The Platform is operated from the Republic of South Africa and is subject to South African law, including but not limited to the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act"), the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").
2. Nature of Content
All content generated by UrFaith — including daily readings, love readings, purpose readings, wellness readings, guidance readings, Faith Profiles, and any other devotional content — is provided for personal reflection and encouragement only.
While every reading pairs a real, accurately-cited Bible verse with AI-generated reflection, this content does not constitute, and must not be interpreted or relied upon as:
- Financial, investment or economic advice of any nature;
- Legal advice or legal opinion;
- Medical, psychiatric, psychological or health advice;
- Professional counselling, therapy, or pastoral care of any kind;
- Relationship, family or life guidance intended to replace qualified professional or pastoral advice;
- A substitute for personal study of scripture, church community, or guidance from a pastor or spiritual leader; or
- Any other form of professional advice or expert opinion.
You acknowledge that the AI-generated reflections, prayers and commentary accompanying each verse are supplementary devotional material, not doctrine, and that no reasonable person should make significant life decisions based solely on this content without also seeking guidance from scripture itself, prayer, and trusted spiritual community.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the common law of the Republic of South Africa:
3.1 UrFaith, its owners, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors and service providers shall not be liable to you or any third party for any:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages;
- Financial loss, monetary loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue or loss of business;
- Loss of data, loss of goodwill or reputational harm;
- Investment losses or economic harm of any nature;
- Personal injury, emotional distress or psychological harm;
- Loss arising from decisions made in reliance on content generated by this Platform;
- Loss arising from the accuracy, completeness or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated devotional reflection or reading;
- Loss arising from interruption, suspension or termination of the service; or
- Any other loss or damage of any kind, whether foreseeable or not,
arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, UrFaith or any content generated thereon.
3.2 You expressly acknowledge that you use this Platform entirely at your own risk. Any action you take based on content generated by this Platform — including but not limited to financial decisions, relationship decisions, career decisions or health decisions — is taken solely at your own discretion and risk.
3.3 Where South African law does not permit the complete exclusion of liability, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. In no event shall our aggregate liability to you exceed the total amount paid by you to UrFaith in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or R100 (one hundred rand), whichever is lesser.
3.4 You acknowledge and agree that the disclaimers and limitations of liability set out in this Clause 3 extend to and are for the benefit of Telkom SA SOC Limited and the Vertical Service Provider (VSP) (a subsidiary of Lumin Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd), including all their respective shareholders, directors, employees, business subsidiaries, affiliates, and business partners. None of the aforementioned entities or persons shall be liable for any loss, harm, or damage of any nature arising from inaccurate advice or from the access, use, or logging into the UrFaith platform (www.urfaith.co.za), regardless of whether the individual is a registered user, a paid-up subscriber, or otherwise.
3.5 The provisions of this Clause 3, including Clause 3.4, shall survive the termination of any agreement between UrFaith and the user or subscriber for any reason whatsoever.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform and all its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose;
- Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure;
- Warranties as to the accuracy, reliability or completeness of any AI-generated content; or
- Warranties that defects will be corrected or that the Platform is free of viruses.
Artificial intelligence generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent. While we take care to ensure scripture quotations are accurate and properly cited, we make no representation that AI-generated reflections, prayers or commentary are free from error.
5. Indemnities
5.1 The user indemnifies and holds harmless UrFaith and CLCAfrica (Pty) Ltd, its shareholders, directors, employees, and partners from any demand, action, regulation or application or other proceedings, including for attorneys' fees and related costs such as tracing fees, made by any third party, and arising out of or in connection with the user's membership, subscription and/or use of any services offered or concluded through their subscription to, or becoming a member of, the UrFaith Devotional Prayer and Scripture Platform, in any way.
5.2 The user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold UrFaith and CLCAfrica (Pty) Ltd harmless from any direct or indirect liability, loss, claim and expense (including reasonable legal fees) related to the user's membership of the UrFaith Devotional Prayer and Scripture Platform and for any breach of these Terms.
5.3 The user hereby indemnifies and holds harmless Telkom SA SOC Limited and the Vertical Service Provider (VSP) (a subsidiary of Lumin Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd), including their respective shareholders, directors, staff, business subsidiaries, affiliates, and business partners, from any demand, action, regulation, or application or other proceedings, including for attorneys' fees (on the scale as between attorney and own client) and related costs, made by any third party and arising out of inaccurate advice or in connection with the user's access to, use of, or logging into the UrFaith platform at www.urfaith.co.za, irrespective of the user's registration or subscription status.
5.4 The provisions of Clauses 3.4, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3 are stipulatio alteri (contracts for the benefit of a third party) and are capable of acceptance by Telkom SA SOC Limited and the Vertical Service Provider (VSP) at any time.
5.5 The provisions of this Clause 5, including Clauses 5.3 and 5.4, shall survive the termination of any agreement between UrFaith and the user or subscriber for any reason whatsoever.
6. Subscription and Pricing
6.1 Access to UrFaith requires an active monthly subscription. There is no free tier. Upon registration, users must subscribe to access any features of the Platform.
6.2 The subscription fee is R34.99 (thirty-four rand and ninety-nine cents) per month, billed monthly via Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor. The subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled by the user prior to the next billing date.
6.3 Pricing is subject to change. We will provide at least 30 (thirty) days written notice via SMS or email before any price change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised pricing.

7. User Accounts and Registration
7.1 You must be at least 13 years of age to register an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
7.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and accept full responsibility for all activity under your account.
7.3 You agree to provide accurate and truthful registration information. Providing false information constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
7.4 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems;
- Use automated scripts, bots or scrapers to access or extract content;
- Impersonate any person or entity;
- Transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive or defamatory;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform; or
- Reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit any content without our express written consent.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, AI-generated content, software and the UrFaith brand, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected under South African copyright law. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without our prior written consent.
10. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect and process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with POPIA. By using the Platform you consent to such collection and processing.
11. Third-Party Services
UrFaith uses third-party services including artificial intelligence providers to generate content. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or policies of third-party services.
12. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time without notice. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, it shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the remaining provisions.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and UrFaith with respect to your use of the Platform.
